Our role as Tasmania’s primary electricity poles and wires provider is to help turn an ambitious renewable energy plan for the State, an exciting future, into reality. We will do this with a focus on power system security and reliability, our impact on power bills for electricity consumers, and our footprint within the Tasmanian environment. We have implemented over 30 measures to reduce our carbon footprint. This includes 52 electric vehicle chargers, 18 electric vehicles, 213 kW of solar systems on our facilities and trialling two 100kW community batteries. We also support energy awareness raising through community grants, and the BrightSparks and STEAM programs in schools, engaging more than 10,000 young people a year across Tasmania.
